Our Programs

Infants & Toddlers

Our infant/toddler program offers a loving and nurturing atmosphere

  • Our trained staff meet each child’s needs individually
  • Feedings, diaper changes and temperament are recorded daily
  • Parents are encouraged to suggest routines and strategies they do at home to help us keep their child on a familiar routine here at school
  • Toddlers are offered art, language development, music & movement and outside play.

Two Year Olds

In a warm and affectionate environment, two year olds experience;

  • circle time, art, music & movement and large motor development daily.
  • This program also focuses on potty training, as well as cooperation skills, such as sharing and taking turns.

Three & Four Year Olds

Through a weekly theme, three and four year old children will;

  • Pparticipate in hands-on-learning which includes circle time, simple math skills, simple science, art, music, motor development, nursery rhymes and fairy tales.
  • Farms, bugs, summer, and family are just some of the examples of weekly themes our school uses.
  • Social skills are emphasized also – working together, taking turns, conflict resolution, etc.

Pre-Kindergarten

This program gives children the needed skills for Kindergarten.

  • Each week the children are introduced to a letter. The letter is a character which makes learning fun. For example: The children learn the letter “C” from Curly the Caterpillar and the letter “S” from Sneaky the Snake.
  • The children will also learn to write their names.
  • Computer, art, science, music, motor development, nursery rhymes and fairy tales are included in our well rounded pre-kindergarten program.

Kindergarten

We have an excellent full-day Kindergarten program.

  • Which includes meals and care before and after the class.
  • The children explore the “Land of the Letter People” where language comes alive. Mr. M has a munching mouth and Ms. T has tall teeth.
  • Areas covered are language & literacy, math, art, social studies, science and health.
  • Children in our Kindergarten program are taught sight words, as well as taught to read phonetically.
  • The children will bring home books to read to their parents and have spelling tests.
  • Other topics our program covers include self-esteem, feelings, keeping ourselves safe, etc.
  • We use the following curriculum: Land of the Letter People by Abrams & Company and Silver Burdett Ginn Mathematics.

School-Age

We offer care before and after public school.

  • We also transport to selected schools in our area.
  • After school care includes a snack, help with homework, art, board games, outside play and computer.
  • During the summer we offer a summer camp program which includes 2 field trips per week, arts and crafts, computers, science, games (board & video), water activities, drama activities and reading.
  • Our summer camp program offers fun as well as learning throughout the summer.
