About Our Staff

Shauna Kendell attended Children's Classic as a young child. She volunteered and worked in the center as a preteen. In 1979 she began her career at Children's Classic. She attended Weber State and received her Child Development Associate Credential. In 1986 she became the Director. She is currently the Administrator over both facilities. She has her National Credential for Administraton for Directors as well as her Infant and Toddler Indorsement. She recently recieved the Caring Heart Award for her service with Children's Classic and its operations. She oversees the Utah State office of Education USDA Food Program.

Shauna enjoys spending time with her six children and five grandbabies. She loves to travel and her passion is long distance running whre she competes in race events. She has a tender spot in her heart for all of the families she serves and loves and appreciates all of their support over the years.

Justina Longman attended Children’s Classic when she was young. Then in 1981, she began working for the center. She attended Weber State College for two years and has received her Child Development Associate Credential. She has also received a Directors Endorsement and an Infant/Toddler Endorsement from the Child Care Professional Development Institute. In 2002 she received the Caring Heart Award for dedication to children.

Justina is married and the mother of 4 boys. She enjoys skiing, scrapbooking, boating, exercising and cooking. She has lots of energy (remember, she has 4 boys) and is a social butterfly. She directs a fun and organized center. She is dedicated to her staff and to providing the best care possible. She loves the children in her school.

From 1998 to 2001 Mindi worked for Children’s Classic. She then worked for Head Start from 2001 to 2004 and returned back to our center in Feb of 2004. Mindi has a Child Care Associate Credential and training from the Ogden-Weber Community Action Agency (Head Start). From the Child Care Professional Development Institute she has received a School Readiness Endorsement, an Infant/Toddler Endorsement, and an Emotional Wellness Endorsement. Mindi is married and a mother to a little boy named Hunter. She likes to read, design and stamp greeting cards and spend time with her family.

Victoria has worked for Children’s Classic since 1986. She has her Child Development Associate Credential and attended school at Yuba College in California. She has received the following child care certificates given by the Child Care Professional Development Institute: Director’s Endorsement, Infant/Toddler Endorsement, and School-Age Endorsement. She has also received the Caring Heart Award from the State of Utah.

Victoria is the mother of 2 children and the grandmother of 8 grandchildren. She is a wonderful cook, enjoys crafts and loves to spoil her grandkids. She loves to shop and loves to find great deals. Vickie has a funny sense of humor. She also is very dedicated to her job. She spends many hours helping her staff and creating curriculum so that the children will have a positive learning experience.
